Step into the history, stories, and legacy of America’s mounted soldiers.
The National Mounted Warrior Museum is a world-class museum in the heart of Texas, adjacent to Fort Hood. The museum honors mounted soldiers and shares the stories of their service to our nation through immersive exhibits, multimedia experiences, and educational programs for visitors of all ages.
Visitors can explore how mounted warfare has evolved through personal stories from soldiers, learning about Fort Hood's history, engaging simulations, and exhibits highlighting the military’s role in peacekeeping and disaster-relief missions. The museum stands as a living testament to the teamwork, sacrifice, and service of mounted soldiers throughout our nation’s history.
