Volunteer positions are open to all individuals with an interest and a commitment of service to the Foundation who meet the qualifications without reference to race, color, religion, sex, age, or national origin. Volunteers must be at least 16 years of age and able to perform their prescribed duties. Volunteers work independently, with other volunteers, and with permanent Foundation staff. Questions regarding volunteer opportunities may be submitted via our contact form.
Corporations interested in providing support to the development of the National Mounted Warfare Foundation or its programs and museum project, or are willing to provide sponsorship opportunities, are encouraged to contact the Foundation’s Chief Financial Officer by calling (254) 213-5014 or by filling out our contact form. We will assist each prospective partner to identify specific gift projects that satisfy their charitable and marketing goals while fulfilling important Foundation gift needs. Gifts may individually fund an entire component of the museum project or be an important part of a joint gift effort.
The Foundation is currently partnered with several Independent School Districts (ISDs) in the Central Texas area and with many institutions of higher learning across Texas. These partnerships are important to the development of curriculum ties to the future museum’s storyline, as well as to meeting our goal of becoming the premiere scholarly resource for the history of Mounted Warfare in the United States Army. If your educational institution is interested in partnering with the Foundation in these endeavors, please contact the Vice President at (254) 213-5014 or submit an inquiry via our contact form.
