Dear Friends and Supporters,
I would like to give you an update on the status of the grand opening of the National Mounted Warrior Museum. The Army had hoped to open the Museum this month, but the exhibit contractor is behind in installing the exhibits. As a result, the Army has postponed the grand opening until sometime in July. We will let you know the date once it is confirmed.
The Museum staff hopes that the work in the rotunda will be complete by mid-April, so they can at least do a soft opening and allow visitors to get a taste of what they will experience once the Museum is fully open.
I realize this is disappointing news, and no one is more frustrated with the situation than our staff and the staff of the Museum. Unfortunately, the contractor's progress is not something either staff can significantly influence. We will keep you updated on the exhibit installation over the upcoming months. Below are a few photos to show you the work currently in progress.
